Anna M. Sawka, MD, PhD

Anna M. Sawka, MD, PhD is an Endocrinologist, and Clinician Scientist at the University Health Network in Toronto, Canada. Her academic rank is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto.  Dr. Sawka received her medical degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada. She completed my residency in Internal Medicine and postgraduate fellowship in Endocrinology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA. She then completed her PhD degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster University, Canada.  Dr. Sawka’s research is focused in the field of thyroid cancer and thyroid hormone replacement. Her methodologic focus in thyroid diseases includes prospective research, patient reported outcomes, knowledge syntheses (including systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines), and patient involvement in medical decision making.
