Paul W. Ladenson, M.D., is the John Eager Howard Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Professor of Medicine, Pathology, Oncology, Radiology and Radiological Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he is a University Distinguished Professor.
Dr. Ladenson was educated at Dartmouth College, Oxford University, and Harvard Medical School before training in Internal Medicine, and Endocrinology and Metabolism at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Ladenson was the founding director of the Johns Hopkins Thyroid Tumor Center in 1988. He has served as President of the American on Thyroid Association; Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, and chair of the American Board of Internal Medicine examination committee in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
Dr. Ladenson’s principal research interests have been innovations in thyroid cancer care and health-economic analyses in thyroidology.
